Stuart Olding: Ireland 4 caps
(Centre)
Stuart Olding’s entire career was spent at the Academy having attended Ben Madigan and the Senior School. Stuart was an excellent rugby player at School and played three years on the 1st XV. He played in the Schools’ Cup Final in 2010, was captain in 2010-11 and played for Ulster Schools and Ireland Schools in his last year.
After School Stuart played for Ulster Under 20 and made nine appearances for Ireland Under 20. He made his debut for Ulster aged 18 years when he came on as substitute against Leinster in December 2011 and has made 62 appearances for Ulster.
Stuart made his debut for Ireland against the USA in June 2013 in Houston, Texas, at 20 years of age. He toured South Africa with Ireland in 2016 and played in two Tests, one in Johannesburg and one in Port Elizabeth. A series of injuries almost certainly prevented him from making more appearances for Ireland than his total of four.
In 2018 Stuart signed for the French side CA Brive who play in the Top 14.
